Volunteer Opportunities

Looking to serve your community?

Our volunteers’ time and talent are at the core of the caring service that takes place in our food store and pantry, in our financial assistance office, in our offices, and through food drives and our HomeFood Delivery program. In a given week, between 50 and 60 volunteers help CM to operate smoothly and effectively.

Our volunteers come to us from partner congregations, from the area’s civic organizations, and from schools, colleges, and businesses. Some volunteer weekly or even daily; some do so monthly; and some help out occasionally. Many of our volunteers became involved with The Crisis Ministry because they once sought help from us. Others do so through their congregation’s involvement, and their own calling to serve their neighbor. Active volunteer committees support our fundraising events and advocacy efforts. Their hours of labor allow us to maintain high quality service with minimal staffing costs.

Would you like to learn more? Contact volunteer coordinator Elizabeth Ferguson, who also directs our Princeton facility. She will match you with the niche and the training that will best tap your strengths and serve our organization’s needs. or call her in the Princeton office (609-921-2135).
